Project Moon
Project Moon is the result of a project class (in which I got an A) I took during my fall of 2021 semester. This was my first video game ever, and it was made in a team of three.

It's a sandbox game inspired by games like Stardew Valley. The goal is to gather materials to build your village. This type of game was great for learning how the Unity engine operated and to get accustomed to the game development process.
Here are some of the mechanics implemented in the game :
-
farming (plow, plant and grow flowers)
-
Mining (collecting rocks with a pickaxe)
-
Enemies (when alerted, they chase the player)
-
Combat
-
Droppable items from enemies
-
Shop (buy and sell items with gold)
-
Dialog and interactions
-
Day and night cycle
-
Inventory
Promotional Video
Here is the promotional video (in French) we made for the course. It gives a brief summary of the gameplay and the different game mechanics.
Combat
You can damage enemies with your sword only, and they can damage you on contact. Enemies won't be aggressive until you are close to them.

Day/Night Cycle
On the top right of the screen, there is a clock indicating the in-game time. This time change interacts with multiple things in the environment, like the crops and the amount of light displayed. At night, lamp posts are lit up to create local light around it.
Farming and Ressources
You can use your hoe to plow the ground, and then plant crops. The crops will grow bigger as time passes in game. You can also use your pickaxe to collect rocks and your axe to collect wood.
Shop
The shop allows you to buy and sell items. The amount of gold in your inventory determines what you can buy in the shopkeeper's inventory. If you are short on gold, you can sell an item for more gold.
